Students in 5e and 4e travel to Australia for two weeks every other year (in the other year they go to New York). This year they went to Perth.
They visited museums and art galleries, including a museum devoted to video games. They swam with dolphins, a lovely encounter, went for walks on the beach and bike rides, and met the famous Australian kangaroos, including quokkas. They also visited a magnificent Australian botanical garden and went kayaking. Time was set aside for shopping for the traditional souvenirs.
They slept in a prison that was converted into a hotel several years ago, and went to Rottnest Island, a protected island with no human habitation, so that its wildlife and plants remain untouched.
