Why Eridan for pre-school

Growing up in English, at their own pace.

  • English from age 2

From Nursery, every activity is in English. The school welcomes children from age 2, even if they are not fully toilet-trained yet.

  • Their rhythm, respected

Naps on small beds, with a comforter, cushion or dummy: children are never woken up. Half-time mornings are possible in Nursery and Petite Section.

  • Swimming from Nursery

Every Friday, at a pool suited to little ones in Pérols: a learning pool at 32 °C, air at 30 °C and a heated floor, with two swimming instructors.

  • Nature close at hand

The vegetable garden, the fruit trees, the hen house, and Ananas, the pony who comes to visit the children from time to time.

  • No marks, real dialogue

There are no marks in pre-school: the team talks with parents about each child's development and place in the group, with a positive outlook.

  • A bridge to CP

FAQ

Your questions about pre-school.

My child doesn't speak English. Is that a problem?

Not at all. In pre-school, English is learned through immersion, with games, songs and movement, and no prior knowledge is needed. To help them settle in, every child can also talk in their own language with a tutor child and, if needed, with an adult.

Does my child need to be toilet-trained to start Nursery?

No. Nursery welcomes children from age 2, even if they are not fully toilet-trained yet. An early years educator or an assistant supports the teacher at every moment of the day.

Can my child attend half-time?

Yes, in Nursery and Petite Section: half-time means mornings only, for €4,000 a year in 2026-2027 (no sibling discount).

Do children have a nap?

Yes. The youngest sleep on small beds with their comforter, cushion or dummy, and children are never woken up: sleep also helps them absorb the morning's learning. In Moyenne Section, there is quiet time in the afternoon.

How does swimming work?

From Nursery, every Friday morning, at a pool suited to little ones in Pérols: a small learning pool, water at 32 °C, air at 30 °C, heated floor. Two swimming instructors run the session with the teacher and assistants. The goal: discovering water safely, through play.

How are children prepared for CP?

In Grande Section, children have a French lesson every afternoon in small groups with the CP teacher, the same teacher they will have the following year. At the end of the year, a special day also lets them discover their future classroom.

Testimonial

I have been at Eridan since I was little: I did pre-school, primary and middle school at this school, which is a bit like my second home. The teachers have always been very kind and understanding with me and the other pupils.
