Chinese club: a blossoming spring
In the Chinese club, students celebrated spring around the proverb 百花迎春 with calligraphy, artwork and traditional songs.
In the Chinese club at Eridan school, the spring season was celebrated with poetry, creativity and wonder. Inspired by the Chinese proverb 百花迎春 ("a hundred flowers welcome the spring"), students discovered a cultural tradition that links the beauty of nature with the energy of renewal.
In the workshops, they learned to write Chinese characters linked to spring, such as 春 (chūn, spring) or 花 (huā, flower), and to decorate them with floral patterns. Colourful creations blossomed all over the room: paper cuts, calligraphy, paintings and poems inspired by nature.
Alongside this, an introduction to traditional Chinese songs let everyone immerse themselves further in Asian culture. Students also tasted a few Chinese New Year treats while learning about the customs of this festive period.
The project combined language learning, artistic expression and intercultural discovery, in a friendly and cheerful atmosphere. Well done to the students for their involvement, sensitivity and creativity.
