Subject: how living things occupy their environment across the seasons.

Lentil seeds are placed in circular boxes lined with filter paper. The boxes are kept in different conditions.

Conclusion: lentil seeds need moisture and a mild temperature (20 °C) to germinate. Both conditions are met in spring.
