In 2015, CE2 and CM1 students visited the Demeter sorting centre, as part of helping our students become responsible about, and aware of, waste sorting and the environment.

The visit was led by the director. One student reports: "He explained to us the journey of waste through the plant. Then we toured the company: we saw an enormous mountain of waste, then we went outside and saw blocks of waste that had already been sorted. Then we went up to see workers sorting waste on conveyor belts; it ended up in huge skips. This visit helps us understand the journey of waste."
